JUDY CHILDERS, OFFICE MANAGER

I grew up in Boonville, North Carolina and graduated from Starmount High School in 1972. My education also includes 2 years of nursing at Davis Hospital School of Nursing and Mitchell Community College in Statesville. I began working at Jonesville Family Medical Center as a medical transcriptionist when the center originally opened in 1979. Before becoming the office manager in 1987, I also held positions as receptionist and insurance/collections secretary. I am very grateful for the opportunity to serve as office manager for JFMC. It is truly a blessing to work in a family oriented atmosphere with our caring, compassionate and dedicated physicians and staff.

My husband, Richard and I have 2 daughters. One is a registered nurse and the other is an elementary school teacher. We also have a delightful granddaughter with whom we love to spend time and play! Richard and I particularly enjoy taking trips to the beach and to Disneyworld. We also enjoy singing, especially with family and in the church choir. I also have the privilege of serving as organist, assistant Adventure Club leader, and VBS teacher.
